Job Details

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor application jobs across multiple DataStage/Informatica production environments
  • Perform initial triage of job failures/production issues
  • Gather information, perform research and root cause analysis to determine immediate solution
  • Identify immediate and permanent fix solutions to prevent recurrence of production issues
  • Track application SLAs, respond to user inquiry/issue/request tickets
  • Coordinate effectively with application teams and upstream/downstream teams to ensure prompt evaluation and efficient resolution of production issues
  • Monitor and evaluate DataStage/Informatica platform health and alerts with a view to ensuring 100% availability of the DataStage/Informatica platform and services
  • Understand, monitor and evaluate production Informatica/DataStage job streams in support of client operations
  • Work well with the application teams, educate the customers and proactively manage expectations

Requirements:
  • 3-6 years DataStage/Informatica experience and troubleshooting in a production support capacity
  • Experience in L1/L2 level support
  • Ability to perform data analysis and respond to system user inquiries
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in high pressure situations
  • Ability to effectively communicate status of issues and areas of opportunity for process/system improvements
  • Ability to manage complex inquiries from clients/users in a large, multi-tenant DataStage/Informatica environment
  • Self-motivated; ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Critical thinking, strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing
  • Strong DataStage/Informatica application and platform support experience, hands-on experience with the entire suite of tools/services in the DataStage/Informatica
  • Detailed understanding of DataStage/Informatica architecture
  • Strong experience in Hive, Impala, Spark data analysis and support
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Knowledge of networking, UNIX/Linux platforms and programming
  • ETL tools: Syncsort DMX-h ETL job development or L3 support experience on DataStage/Informatica Platform
  • Job Scheduling tools: Autosys, Oozie
  • BI tools: Tableau

Desired Skills:
  • DataStage/Informatica admin experience

Pay Range: $50.45-$58.45
