Job Description:

The Digital Marketing Specialist, Social and Paid Media, will support the strategy, development, creation, and execution of all social and paid media marketing for MWI Animal Health global portfolio of animal health brands (focus on Securos) under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Digital & Campaign Marketing.

Through the ownership, activation, and management of multiple social and paid media campaigns, this person will be responsible for supporting the role that digital marketing plays in driving growth for MWI Animal Health s global animal health businesses (focus on Securos: US, UK, Nordics). This role combines strategic planning, creative development, and campaign execution, as well as hands-on creation and implementation, while balancing planning with day-to-day execution, and management and optimization of channels and campaigns. Additionally, this individual will define and own measurable goals for audience growth, engagement, and ROI across both organic and paid channels, while ensuring all programs ladder up to broader marketing and business objectives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced and creative marketing professional with a proven background in content creation and growing an engaged social media audience. This individual will have experience producing and publishing engaging content that captures and retains the attention of a B2B audience, while sparking meaningful engagement and audience growth all with the end goal of attracting, growing, and retaining customers.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy

  • Lead the development and execute on a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with brand values and business goals of MWI s animal health brands globally focused on Securos (e.g. US, UK, Nordics).
  • Define channel-specific goals, content approaches, and audience engagement strategies supported by deep audience research, key performance data, and insights.
  • Implement strategies to increase reach, engagement, and community building across all social channels.

Paid Media Strategy.

  • Lead the planning and execution of paid digital marketing strategies across social, search, and display channels to maximize visibility and return on ad spend that aligns with brand values and business goals of MWI s animal health brands globally (e.g. US, UK, Nordics).
  • Oversee the paid digital advertising strategy including media planning, campaign setup and execution, analysis, reporting, and optimization focusing on maximizing return on ad spend across search, social, and display platforms.
  • Monitor budget allocation, ensuring optimal spend across campaigns to maximize ROI as well as recommendations to improve ROI for brand reach.

Content Creation.

  • Develop and direct the implementation of a wide range of content forms, including video, text, still imagery, graphics, animation, and other content forms that best utilize the technology available on any given channel to achieve organic social media and paid media strategic objectives.
  • Ideate, build, shoot, and edit effective stories that match the tone of each social platform.
  • Work collaboratively with Creative Services and other team members to bring ideas from concept to completion.
  • Work closely with digital marketing team to adapt successful social media content for other channels (website, email, etc.) as appropriate.
  • Act quickly on real-time or trending opportunities to enhance engagement and visibility, editing quickly and efficiently to deliver high-quality work, on-time and with accuracy.

Content Distribution and Channel Management.

  • Own the day-to-day publishing and distribution of content across organic social media and paid media channels.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive social media content calendar that aligns with strategic objectives and business goals.
  • Foster a strong online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and professionally. Encourage conversation and interaction among our followers.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to adjust the social media strategy and optimize results for each channel.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.

Measurement, Analysis, and Optimization.

  • Own performance measurement and reporting for all social and paid campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance using data and analytics tools to track the effectiveness of content and campaign ROI.
  • Provide regular reports internally cross-functionally analyzing data, insights, and optimization with recommendations to make data-driven improvements.

Experience and educational requirements:

  • Requires broad training in fields such as marketing, public relations, communications, business administration or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Normally requires 4-6 years of digital marketing experience, preferably including support of website operations, email marketing, SEM/SEO, social media, display advertising, retargeting, analysis, reporting and insights.
  • Prior experience with campaign marketing and design a plus, as well as experience working with cross-functional teams. Experience in animal health/industry highly preferred.

Skills, knowledge and ability requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical campaign command of integrated digital marketing and the following individual digital disciplines: building, publishing, and maintaining paid media campaigns; setting up paid media analytics infrastructure to measure ROAS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical campaign command of integrated digital marketing and the following individual digital media: photography, videography, video and photo editing, graphic design, and knowledge of social media platforms native tools to create a wide range of content that suits the moment and the idea.
  • Proven experience and expertise in growing a loyal and engaged social media following (preferable in B2B).
  • Ability to translate campaign data and provide analysis and reasoning for performance trends and future recommendations.
  • Highly creative and innovative with experience in identifying target audiences and creating digital campaign content in-line with brand guidelines that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Strong knowledge of current social media platforms, trends and best practices including knowledge of social media platforms native tools to create a wide range of content.
  • Demonstrable experience managing SEM/SEO.
  • Proficiency in Google Web Suite (analytics, tag manager, etc).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus.
