Job Details

Job Title: Sr./Lead/Principal Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) Consultant
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive operational support for Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) modules.

  • Analyze and maintain existing customizations across OTM functionalities.

  • Mentor and guide team members on customer-specific business workflows and processes.

  • Develop new support documentation and maintain existing materials to reflect system updates.

  • Collaborate with business users to gather functional requirements and translate them into detailed Functional & Technical Specification Documents.

  • Facilitate mapping workshops and create mapping specifications for integrations with external systems (e.g., Order Release, Planned Shipment, Shipment Status, Voucher, Documents).

  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical OTM issues including planning logic and rate configurations.

  • Investigate and resolve agent failures using OTM System Logs.

  • Configure Out XML Profiles and manage External Systems setup within OTM.

  • Integrate OTM with external systems via SOAP and RESTful APIs.


Essential Skills:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) modules and features.

  • Deep understanding of Order and Shipment Management within the OTM platform.

  • Proficient in Business Process Automation (BPA), Contract and Rate Management, system Configuration, and Administration.

  • Strong command of OTM components such as screen sets, manager/advanced layouts, custom actions, action checks, ACLs (Access Control Lists), Business Monitors, status code/tracking events, and user preference settings.

  • Experience with Commitment Allocation, Commitment Count, and Capacity Limit configurations.

  • Proven expertise in configuring Rates, Itineraries, and Equipment within OTM.

  • Skilled in leading Mapping Workshops and creating detailed specifications for system integrations.

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for OTM configuration issues and agent-level failures.

  • Knowledgeable in integration saved queries, BN rules, External System setups, SOAP/REST web services, auto-assignment rules, Domain Grants, and Stylesheet modifications.

  • Familiarity with recurring processes and VPD (Virtual Private Database) profile configuration.
