Role: Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC) Lead

Location: Remote (Occasional travel to client office is required)

Job Type: Contract to Hire (CTH)

Job Overview:

We're looking for a seasoned Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC) Lead to partner with our offshore architect/lead and spearhead the design, development, and deployment of robust eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge of OCC, ReactJS, REST APIs, and cloud-native architectures. This role requires leadership of onshore technical teams, collaboration with business stakeholders, and the ability to drive digital commerce transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in tandem with the offshore architect/lead to define architecture and design OCC-based solutions.
  • Manage the complete OCC implementation lifecycle including customizations and integrations with ERP, CRM, OMS, payment gateways, and other third-party systems.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical implementations.
  • Ensure OCC solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate across teams developers, UX, and DevOps for cohesive solution delivery.
  • Create and manage RESTful APIs for integration with external platforms.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, performance constraints, and security concerns.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years in eCommerce development, with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC).
  • Proficient in JavaScript, Node.js, Knockout.js, ReactJS, and Oracle Cloud development tools.
  • Solid experience with front-end technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, LESS, Bootstrap, AJAX, JSON, and jQuery.
  • Deep understanding of OCC components, including Widgets, Themes, Extensions, and layout customization.
  • Proven track record in OCC B2B/B2C implementation and site personalization.
  • Integration expertise with enterprise systems like ERP, CRM, PIM, and payment/analytics platforms.
  • Strong command of RESTful API development, microservices architecture, and web services.
  • Familiar with cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and security protocols like OAuth and SSO.
  • Experience implementing multi-site, multi-language, and multi-currency solutions.
  • Proficient in tools like Postman, and build tools such as Webpack, Grunt, and Gulp.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; thrives in an agile setting.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with both technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Commerce Cloud certification is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Experience with headless commerce architecture and front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js.
  • Exposure to AI-based personalization and recommendation systems in eCommerce environments.
