Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Intersystem Cache/IRIS Development full-stack (both front and back end) development in Web applications
2. Responsible for macro-scale architecture of software technology or product line, and providing guidance and oversight to multiple development teams working on different products or technologies to ensure that the technologies interoperate or connect to each other appropriately
3. Participate in the full software development life cycle, involving design, implementation, testing, and launching
4. Own the delivery of an entire system or application and serve as a technical lead on complex projects
5. Work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development
Qualifications:
Required Work Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in full stack software development utilizing:
Back end
o InterSystems Object Technology
o InterSystems Cache/IRIS/ObjectScript
o Experience creating and consuming Web Services
o Object SQL
Front end
o Angular
o JavaScript and jQuery
o mGateway WebLink/EWD
Preferred Work Experience:
Experience in Perforce or GitHub code management
Experience with VS Code editor
Use of GitHub Copilot (Ai) within VS Code editor with Cache/IRIS
Experience working with Agile (2-week sprints) including a Daily Stand Up call and quarterly (PI) Planning
Experience working in Jira for stories and sprint tracking
Code Reviews for all code developed
Knowledge of Industry wide and Quest Diagnostics specific interface standards including HL7 2.x and 3.x, TopNet, OERDB and SOAP/REST services.
Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented (OO) design patterns, distributed databases, and data modeling techniques."
