About the Role | seeking a highly skilled Vulnerability Management Consultant to join the cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities across the systems and networks. This role requires deep expertise in vulnerability assessment tools, risk analysis, and remediation strategies to protect the organization s digital assets. |
Job Responsibilities | - Conduct Vulnerability Assessments: Perform regular vulnerability scans and assessments to identify potential security risks.
- Risk Prioritization: Collaborate with IT and security teams to prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and impact.
- Remediation Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor security systems and tools to detect potential threats and report on security posture.
- Documentation: Maintain documentation related to vulnerability management processes, including reports on vulnerability status and remediation progress.
- Training: Provide training to staff on best practices for security awareness and vulnerability management

Required Skills | - Proven experience in vulnerability management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using vulnerability scanning tools and security software.
- Experience with Rapid7 or a similar vulnerability management tool.
- Familiarity with comparable tools is considered transferable and beneficial.
- Resource should have actual experience of vulnerability for a few years.
- Needs to be able to understand Rapid7 and how it impacts the environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address vulnerabilities identified after patch deployment.
- Perform security scans, initiate tickets based on findings, and coordinate remediation efforts with relevant teams.
- Conduct vulnerability scans for new servers and support server decommissioning activities.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with various departments and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex security issues

Required Education | Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. |
Required Experience | - Experience with Rapid7 vulnerability management tool.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management.
- Candidate should have an IT background in addition to knowledge of Risk and Compliance.
