Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid Onsite Mon/Wed/Thurs; Remote Tues/Fri)

Only candidates LOCAL to the Austin, TX area will be considered.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite (Mon/Wed/Thurs) and 2 days remote (Tues/Fri).

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Database Architect to spearhead data infrastructure and analytics initiatives for a mission-critical project. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with deep expertise in data architecture, advanced analytics, and cloud platforms. This is a hybrid role requiring strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills to drive impactful data strategies and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable data architecture to support analytics and reporting.
Develop robust relational databases, data warehouses, and multidimensional data models.
Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to drive insights and decision-making.
Ensure data solutions comply with accessibility standards and best practices.
Lead the design and modeling of data using cloud-native tools (e.g., Snowflake, Informatica).
Integrate emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, and big data tools in healthcare data environments.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and business teams.
Provide strategic guidance on data governance and metadata management.

Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing.
10+ years working with business intelligence and big data solutions.
Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, CCDA).
Proven leadership on advanced analytics and data-driven projects.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Expertise in cloud infrastructure, cloud security, and cloud data storage.
Strong proficiency in SQL and modern database technologies.
Deep understanding of ETL tools (especially Informatica), data lakes, APIs, and EHR integrations.
Experience designing cloud-based architecture using platforms like Snowflake.
Effective communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of experience with big data tools and architecture.
Hands-on coding experience in Python, Java, or Scala.
Experience in enterprise architecture (TOGAF or similar), hybrid cloud deployments, and cloud migration strategies.
Prior healthcare industry experience is highly preferred.
Certifications in cloud solution architecture (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) are a plus.
Strong consulting, facilitation, and leadership skills.
