Job Details

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join a global leader in clinical research and healthcare analysis for a remote position . The Senior Data Analyst w ill lead statistical programming and analysis for oncology observational studies, managing complex datasets, ensuring quality control, and collaborating with scientists to drive meaningful insights from real-world evidence.

Responsibilities of the Senior Data Analyst include:
  • Lead statistical programming and analysis using oncology-specific real-world data sources, including claims, EHR, HEOR, and genomic data.
  • Assess feasibility and define key study variables by characterizing patient populations and building cohorts from diverse real-world datasets.
  • Integrate and manage data across multiple sources, ensuring quality control, automation of data refreshes, and adherence to time, budget, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with epidemiologists and scientists to develop study documents, analysis plans, workflows, and statistical methodologies.
  • Communicate findings and progress to project teams and stakeholders, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions for complex studies.


Qualifications for the Senior Data Analyst include:
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience with a master's degree, or 2 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, programming, and real-world studies.
  • Prior programming experience using Flatiron Health data, with expertise in oncology-specific methodologies such as deriving lines of therapy and conducting survival analyses.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SAS preferred; R acceptable.
  • Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, or a related field required.


Compensation for the Senior Data Analyst:
  • Salary Range: $170,000-$180,000 (USD)
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical (Cigna), Dental (Guardian), Vision (VSP), sick leave if required by law, and 401K (Voya through ADP)
