RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Failure Analysis Test Engineer in Spring, TX.
Summary:
We are seeking a Failure Analysis Test Engineer to join our client's Worldwide Quality Lab within the Personal Systems Business Unit, located in Spring, Texas. This lab specializes in failure analysis and reliability testing of electrical components used in computer systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying root causes of hardware issues and supporting product quality improvements across global operations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Conduct failure analysis or reliability analysis on motherboard PCAs or full units to identify issues related to hardware, software, BIOS, or other components
* Handle requests from R&D and field captures
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in failure analysis and test engineering
* Electrical engineering background
* Test engineering capabilities, including designing tests and a passion for test development
* Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and component-level failure analysis on PCBs
* Root cause analysis
* Familiarity with SharePoint and Jira
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
