Role: Product Manager Instore Apps
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Duration: Long-term Contract
Job Summary:
- We are looking for a highly driven In-store Application Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of in-store applications including mobile applications for our client.
- In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, marketing, and data analytics to deliver exceptional application experiences that drive user engagement, retention, efficiency and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the applications.
- Create and maintain the product roadmap based on business priorities, market trends, and customer insights.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and new mobile features that enhance user experience.
- Execution & Delivery: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and compelling application experiences.
- Work with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality feature delivery.
- Write clear product requirements documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to go-live and iterations.
- User & Market Insights: Analyze user behavior, feedback, and app analytics to identify improvement areas.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to ensure the app stays ahead of industry standards.
- Validate concepts through user testing, A/B experiments, and prototypes.
- Performance & Optimization: Track key Application KPIs such as retention, engagement, conversion, and app store performance.
- Prioritize backlog items based on impact, effort, and business value.
- Partner with QA to ensure flawless releases and bug-free user experience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align product initiatives with business goals and collaborate with stakeholders across teams.
- Work with marketing and growth teams on app launch strategies, feature announcements, and user adoption.
- Coordinate with customer success/support teams to address user pain points.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in product management, ideally with a strong focus on in-store applications and mobile apps.
- Proven track record of launching successful mobile products.
- Skills & Competencies; Strong understanding of iOS and Android ecosystems, app development processes, and mobile UX patterns.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Firebase, Mixpanel, App Annie, Amplitude, or similar.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Strong prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in agile development environments.
- Exposure to A/B testing frameworks and mobile growth strategies.
- Familiarity with App Store Optimization (ASO).
- Experience in B2B/B2C or high-scale mobile applications.
- Familiarity with React Native applications is a plus.
