Azure Solutions Architect

Role: Azure Solutions Architect
Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Define and deliver end-to-end application and solution architectures across Azure, Hybrid, and On-Prem environments.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into automated, scalable solutions.
• Produce high-quality solution design artifacts system designs, sequence diagrams, data models, and technical estimates.
• Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and COTS solutions.
• Provide strategic consultation and architectural guidance across multiple business units.
• Lead the development of enterprise security, integration, and technology patterns.
• Support Agile/Scrum teams, ensuring alignment with the SAFe framework.
• Guide legacy modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solutions or Enterprise Architect in Azure or hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies (SAFe framework preferred).
• Solid background in enterprise-level and solution-level design.
• Hands-on experience with API protocols (SOAP, REST), XML, and schema design.
• Expertise in data modeling, system integration, and relational database design.
• Familiarity with project lifecycle models, QA methodologies, and architecture documentation best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
