About the Company
Our client operates a nationwide network of franchise-based hospitality businesses including restaurants, catering operations, and event venues. Each location uses different technology platforms, POS systems, and back-office tools that feed into a central corporate holdings company. This creates a complex technology environment with significant opportunities for consolidation, modernization, and improved operational efficiency.

Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Technology Systems Architect / Consultant to evaluate their current technology landscape and recommend a strategic path forward. This individual will assess existing POS, payroll, inventory, and accounting platforms across multiple franchise locations and brands and develop a unified technology strategy that reduces system dependency, eliminates redundant tools, and streamlines data flow into corporate systems.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Assessment and Strategy
  • Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of all existing POS, payroll, inventory, accounting, and operational systems across multiple franchise locations and brands.
  • Map current data flows, dependencies, and manual processes to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for consolidation.
  • Assess integration gaps between franchise systems and the corporate accounting and financial reporting platform.


Platform Consolidation and Recommendation
  • Recommend a reduced set of best-in-class platforms and tools that can standardize operations across the organization.
  • Develop a roadmap to migrate from fragmented systems to a more unified and scalable technology architecture.
  • Identify the best integration approach such as APIs, middleware, or ERP modules to automate data flow across locations and into corporate systems.


Solution Design and Implementation Support
  • Design the future-state architecture that supports automated synchronization of sales, payroll, inventory, and financial data.
  • Collaborate with internal IT, finance, and franchise operators to align on requirements and deployment plans.
  • Oversee integration setup and testing, ensuring seamless data migration and accurate two-way communication between systems.
  • Create documentation, system maps, and training materials for operational teams.


Governance, Standardization and Best Practices
  • Establish standard processes and data protocols for all locations to ensure consistent reporting and compliance.
  • Provide guidance on technology governance, upgrade cycles, and long-term scalability strategies.


Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in systems architecture, IT consulting, solution design, or enterprise systems integration.
  • Strong background in hospitality or restaurant technology environments.
  • Expertise with leading POS systems, inventory management tools, accounting platforms, and integration middleware.
  • Proven ability to assess complex, multi-location technology environments and build actionable consolidation strategies.
  • Experience designing or implementing API-based integrations between disparate systems.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting franchised or multi-brand hospitality organizations.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and enterprise financial reporting tools.
  • Background in process standardization and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to manage or oversee light project management responsibilities including timeline, milestones, and vendor coordination.
