Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a MedTech Transcend Release Train Engineer, within Technology Services. This role is located Raritan, NJ.

In support of the Medtech Global Supply Chain digital transformation initiative, the Technology Services Release Train Engineer will lead Build Factory teams to ensure Agile Release Trains stay on course. The person will ensure Release Trains are defined and delivered to the Make business transformation roadmap. Supporting parallel execution of business releases for distinct sites and/or Medtech Franchises.

The Technology Services Release Train Engineer will play a key role in enabling a successful Supply Chain Digital transformation.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish and communicate release train calendars to support Make transformation roadmap. Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to define a release plan that supports and deconflicts the business releases in the transformation roadmap. Identify and mitigate cross-release dependencies and conflicts in testing environments to ensure quality of testing.

  • Demand intake and planning: Work closely with BT partners to define, implement, and monitor Ways of Working to transform business release demand into prioritized backlog. Ensure prioritization based on business values, complexity and dependencies to drive a "flattened" 3 sprint rolling forecast that fully the functional and technical scrum teams' capacity. Work closely with value stream leads to track throughput to ensure a healthy backlog. Instill a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Change Management - Serve as chair of the Change Authorization Board (CAB) for S4, MDG and BTP applications. Ensuring all applications changes are adequately documented and approved per the global J&J change management SOPs.

  • Release Build: Define, establish and monitor project execution processes to enable agile factory build teams to deliver, in parallel, on demand from multiple business releases. Ensuring strong adherence to program Ways of Working and compliance requirements. Help manage risks and dependencies, escalate and track impediments

  • Release Management Work closely with Agile functional and technical teams to clearly define the timing, scope, dependencies, steps and sequencing for promotion of a release train through Development, PreQA, QA and Production environment. Ensuring every change contained in a release train meets DoD and traceability requirements.

  • Tracking and Continuous Improvement: Assist with execution and feature/capability completion tracking (OKRs/metrics) to ensure Release Trains are on track. Drive identification and implementation of mitigations as needed. Facilitate retrospective ceremonies to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualification:

Required:

  • A bachelor's degree in digital leadership, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years with an industry-leading ERP application; preferably SAP S4 or ECC.

  • Strong familiarity with ART product vision and experience. Strong understanding of how to effectively scale Agile

  • Deep and effective expertise in software delivery, program management, and stakeholder management

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex supply chain solutions using the Agile

  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager ChaRM, or similar tool.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 5 years leading technical teams and collaborating closely with business stakeholders.

  • Minimum of 5 years prior experience with the ERP Supply Chain Manufacturing processes

  • Consulting experience in supply chain ERP space and demonstrated strength in examining issues, shaping strategy & influencing effectively across the organization, driving people, process & technology change.

  • Experience delivering software solutions in a highly regulated environment. Including GxP, SOX and Privacy regulations.

  • Given the global nature of the position, the ideal applicant will have knowledge of regional cultural nuances and a track record of working across time zones. Managing the demands of multicultural and multiregional product owners is the goal.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$120,000 - $207,000

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
