Senior Front End Engineer / React / Chicago

This Chicago-based software company is looking for a Front-End Engineer to join their tight-knit team. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity based in Chicago, IL.

This analytics software suite is designed for sports coaches and managers to simplify the process of running a high-level team. They have separate tools for each facet of a successful sports organization and their client list includes multiple professional leagues. Hoping to expand into new sports, they need a strong-voiced Front-End Engineer to lead the team through the scaling + growth process. You'll work closely w/ their hands-on director of engineering and have a chance to mentor 3+ engineers. The right candidate will be very strong w/ React and have experience leading a small team, ideally on a growth or scaling focused project.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in JavaScript
• 5+ years of experience in React.js
• Familiarity working on growth/scaling focused projects
• Experience combating technical debt
• B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience owning or leading a software project
• Experience with the full SDLC
• Experience working on a small team
• Eagerness to find solutions to problems you don't know the answer to
