BI & Data Visualization Specialist II

Cedar Park Group is actively seeking a talented Business Intelligence & Data Visualization Specialist (Level II) for a long-term hybrid opportunity in Albany, NY. Location: Albany, NY Schedule: Full-time, 35 40 hours/week, Hybrid Start Date: 8/22/2025 Duration: 19 months (through 3/21/2027)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau
  
• Design and optimize data models to support performance, product, and program reporting
  
• Translate raw operational data into clear visual narratives for leadership decision-making
  
• Identify performance trends and gaps using advanced analytical and visualization techniques
  
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-agency stakeholders to gather requirements
  
• Ensure data quality, documentation, and long-term dashboard performance
  
• Provide training to end-users and district teams to promote understanding and usage
  

Mandatory Requirements:

• 4 7 years of experience as a BI Specialist
  
• Extensive hands-on experience with Power BI and Tableau (reporting, dashboards, data modeling)
  
• Proven ability to convert data into meaningful visual insights
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong SQL skills including T-SQL, SSRS, Power Query
  
• Knowledge of DAX and complex Power BI calculations
  
• Experience with data modeling, relational databases, and data warehousing
  
• Public sector or inter-agency collaboration experience preferred
  
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences
  
• Ability to detect trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets
