Job Description:
Pay Range: $75hr - $80hr
- The C++ Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting technology solutions within a capital markets environment.
- This role focuses on improving system scalability, performance, and reliability while collaborating with global teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions and support business-critical pricing infrastructure.
- Assist with user adoption of globally developed technology solutions through user training and collaboration with development teams.
- Revamp existing technology to improve scalability, efficiency, and performance.
- Provide proactive status reports to global and local managers and business stakeholders.
- Participate in the design and development of tools and applications supporting pricing infrastructure and related business areas.
- Identify system deficiencies, collaborate with technical and business partners, and develop corrective technical solutions.
- Support, debug, and troubleshoot system and software issues.
- Review and understand business requirements and contribute to functional specifications, system impact assessments, and technology dependencies.
- Learn and utilize development tools required to be an effective contributor.
- Deliver user training, publish release notes, and perform release activities.
- Profile and optimize system performance.
- Improve production support documentation and tooling.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines for existing business technology.
- Assist with ongoing technology updates.
- Five or more years of hands-on experience in capital markets software development.
- Five or more years of professional experience with C++.
- Proficiency in multithreaded programming.
- Proficiency in Oracle and Python.
- Experience working with JSON and XML.
- Experience with DevOps pipelines.
- Experience supporting production environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Sophis.
- Experience with equity derivative products.
- Experience with risk reporting.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience using or developing web services.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture.
