Our client is a global organization, recognized as one of the largest in its field! They are experiencing rapid growth and undergoing a significant digital transformation. The leadership team is highly focused on technical initiatives and is looking for passionate individuals to contribute to the advancement and development of their application environment.

We are seeking a Sr. Project Manager Consultant with expertise in infrastructure, applications, and security project management. In this role, you ll be responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives and driving projects from inception to adoption. This highly visible role requires a hands-on, strategic thinker who excels at structured execution and stakeholder alignment. You ll own all key project artifacts and ensure accountability across the project lifecycle, making this a high-impact opportunity for a results-driven professional.

These roles offer a hybrid work schedule - 3 days a week in Elmhurst, IL.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects including infrastructure, application, and security-related initiatives.
  • Own all project artifacts from end-to-end including project plans, risk logs, stakeholder trackers, and steering committee updates.
  • Ensure timely execution by holding project stakeholders accountable and escalating issues proactively.
  • Think strategically about project lifecycle execution including planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Gather and analyze requirements to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Prioritize backlog items for optimal execution success.
  • Exhibit a proactive and assertive approach to keeping projects on track.
  • Embrace flexibility in response to evolving requirements, and contribute ideas to PMO growth.
  • Deliver projects using agile methodologies in a collaborative environment.
  • Maintain awareness of project budgets, ensuring alignment of financials with delivery scope.

Required Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading both infrastructure and application-based projects.
  • Strong experience managing comprehensive project documentation and risk tracking tools.
  • Proven track record of holding cross-functional stakeholders accountable within matrixed organizations.
  • Deep understanding of product management processes and supporting artifacts.
  • Strong financial acumen - able to interpret budgets and align cost structures with project goals.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and cloud/IaC project delivery is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated passion for process improvement and delivering measurable results.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities; skilled in conveying ideas to senior leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Highly organized with a self-directed, independent work style.
