Title: FS Digital Marketing Agency – Operations Architect

Summary

The Client FS Digital Marketing Agency is seeking an experienced technology leader who will define the vision, architecture, and strategy for hosted marketing, advertising, and customer-experience applications. The Operations Architect will play a critical role in bridging business needs with technical solutions, guiding teams in execution, managing risks, and ensuring long-term operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Partner in the proposal, design, deployment, and maintenance of hosted marketing solutions that support client goals related to customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
• Support a range of marketing applications developed by Capgemini and built on partner platforms or cloud providers.
• Work across applications such as consumer websites, microsites, landing pages, CRM systems, email marketing programs, and media/performance advertising tools.
• Collaborate with Capgemini, third-party partners, and client teams to implement secure and scalable marketing application solutions.

Strategic Cloud & Operations Responsibilities

• Lead cloud strategy and governance, including AWS Landing Zone, AWS Control Tower, cloud security frameworks, DR/BCP planning, and ongoing optimization.
• Design multi-account AWS environments with a strong focus on security, governance, and compliance.
• Apply best practices for secure architecture, IAM, network security, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead cloud transformation initiatives and promote adoption of best practices across teams.
• Analyze complex technical challenges and design effective architectural solutions.

Engineering & Delivery

• Evaluate application architecture and guide appropriate infrastructure usage and scaling patterns.
• Align with Development and DevOps teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reusable technology stacks.
• Build, modify, and extend hosted infrastructure and automation using CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality engineering practices.
• Conduct problem analysis, data analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing and developing digital marketing applications hosted on on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• 8+ years working with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (Security Speciality preferred).
• Strong experience with on-prem to AWS migration strategies and architectures.
• Experience running AEM applications on AWS.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.

Technical Expertise

• Expert in public cloud implementation (AWS).
• Must have implemented:
  • AWS Landing Zone
  • AWS Control Tower
  • AWS Advanced Networking
  • Cloud Security Frameworks
• Strong experience with:
  • Cloud migrations
  • Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • Serverless compute (AWS Fargate, AWS Batch)
  • Platform-agnostic technologies supporting cloud portability
  • CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred)

Additional Knowledge

• Understanding of enterprise-grade MarTech platforms and their usage patterns.
• Experience with AWS Lambda and functional programming concepts.
• Knowledge of cloud identity & access management, networking, and monitoring tools.
