Job Details

Odyssey is working with a local government to hire a Systems Administrator/Manager for a 3-month project. The role is only approved for 3 months to assist with project work, but there is potential to extend. You must be able to work onsite 3x a week in Richmond, TX.

Job Details:

Deploys, maintains and administers complex server hardware, operating systems and application software. Is a key resource in implementing and integrating new technologies. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.

Requirements:

Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. (High School/GED and four years of relevant professional experience in addition to 5 years required experience may be substituted for the Bachelor s degree)

5 years of overall IT support experience is required.

Thorough knowledge of network operating systems, systems integration and multiple network protocols such as TCP/IP; Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting skills of MS SQL Server; Ability to design, install, manage and monitor complex systems, operating system software and applications; Knowledge of system administration of multiple server environments. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees and elected officials. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Certifications like MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, CNE, are preferred, but not required.
