We're now seeking an exceptional Principal Data Engineer to join our team and lead the development of cutting-edge data-driven insights.

What You'll Do:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Data Engineer with a strong background in retail and health data to lead our data engineering efforts. As a Principal Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, data models, and data transformations using cloud-based technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and BigQuery. You will also be responsible for ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, technology, and experts in retail and consumer health, to build data products. Your expertise will play a critical role in shaping our products and services that drive key strategic initiatives and business outcomes.
* Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines, data models, and data transformations using Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and BigQuery
* Develop and maintain data transformation workflows using Python, SQL, and Airflow
* Lead the development of data engineering projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
* Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
* Design and implement de-identification, tokenization, and data masking techniques to protect sensitive data
* Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop data pipelines that support business intelligence and analytics efforts
* Develop and maintain documentation of data engineering projects, including architecture diagrams, data flow charts, and code repositories
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the data engineering team

What You'll Bring:
* 10+ years of hands-on experience in e-commerce/omnichannel retail or health data with a focus on data engineering
* Strong background in cloud-based technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, PySpark, BigQuery and Azure SQL
* Expertise in data modeling, ETL, and data transformation using Python, SQL, and Airflow
* Experience with de-identification, tokenization, and data masking techniques to protect sensitive data
* Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security principles
* 6+ years of experience leading large-scale data engineering projects
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality data pipelines and models that meet business requirements
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, or related field

Good to Have:
* Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, and NoSQL databases
* Knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms
* Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker
* Certification in Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA) and compliance guidelines related to data privacy.
* Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.

Sunnyvale, California US-08479:The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09104:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related field. Option 2: 7 years' experience in software engineering or related field. Option 3: Master's degree in Computer Science and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related field.
