Infrastructure Architect
Location: Wilmington, NC
Duration: 12 Months+
Job Summary:
- Implement and support lab environment infrastructure to include Firewalls, Switches, Hosting Servers, Windows and Linux Virtual Machines, Windows Domain.
- Document processes and details of implementation.
Essential Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain documentation of processes and configuration of lab infrastructure. Including: Firewalls, Switches, Hosting Servers, Windows and Linux Virtual Machines, Windows Domain.
- Routine maintenance of lab infrastructure.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and stability issues.
- Recommend and implement process and system improvements.
- Testing and monitoring of lab infrastructure.
- Work with small teams as part of a large team to deliver quality applications.
Qualifications / Requirements
Skills:
- or valid
- Familiarity with: Windows Server, Linux, Cisco and Juniper network equipment
- Detail oriented
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Library Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent with minimum 2 years of experience
Additional Desired Characteristics
- Familiarity with: CI/CD, MarkDown, Git, Mermaid, vSphere, Hyper-V, Windows Clustering, SSH servers
- Experience with Windows domain administration, group policies, account administration, patching (WSUS)
- Desire to automate processes to implement routine activities and documentation
