Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and analyze project requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, or desktop applications as applicable.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Perform various types of testing such as functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and system testing.
- Communicate effectively with developers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve product quality.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support during production release cycles.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in manual software testing.
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
- Experience writing clear and concise test cases and test scenarios.
- Familiarity with defect management and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or QTest.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Experience in testing APIs using tools like Postman.
- Understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
