Required Experience & Skills:
Audit, testing, or other quality assurance/control experience preferably from within the financial services industry
Knowledge of risk and controls concepts e.g. Risk identification and measurement, risk management and control design.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Effective organizational influencing skills required
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to see the big picture with high attention to critical details
Highly organized with demonstrated capability of managing oneself to tight deadlines
The Issue Quality Assurance Analyst is a strategic professional within the team Controls team supporting the delivery of the Compliance Transformation (CO) plan through a review and challenge process. Team focuses on assessing the quality execution of Transformation work efforts and deliverables using information provided by regulatory commitment owners. In addition, this role provides advice and counsel related to the related process, as well as risk and controls, and how to evidence commitment closure. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others. This role reports to Sr. Lead Analyst within the team and will work as part of a small project team with the opportunity to manage, or perform solo reviews, as the need arises.
Responsibilities:
Complete assigned reviews with a focus on verifying controls and risk reduction by defining and executing assessment/testing strategies
Analyze processes and controls to credibly challenge proposed changes and risk management
Provide advice on control design and effectiveness
Lead review meetings and conduct control walkthrough meetings as needed
Complete analysis, controls testing, QA checklists, document results, and maintain trackers
Manage stakeholder and other business/function participation as part of assigned reviews
Assist with the analysis of feedback themes and trends
Assist with the presentation of themes and trends and training
Assist with the maintenance of templates and procedure documents
Contribute to process change and improvement
