Product Engineer I

Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Product Engineer I. This role identifies business opportunities and executes marketing strategies to win business. Serves as an engineering expert in assisting consulting engineering organizations with determining the best product for the job and promoting Daikin solutions. Location: In office, Phoenix AZ

What you will do:

• Calls on management representatives such as engineers, architects, or other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments and attempts to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products or services offered
• Identify business opportunities & executes marketing strategies to win business (via independent sales representatives) primarily through consultants in the assigned territory
• Provides and develops technical information and brochures (in coordination with Marketing Communications Dept.) primarily to consultants in assigned territory
• Provides information to architects and consultants regarding the value that McQuay can bring to assist in producing Green/LEED projects
• Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment
• Draws up sales or service contract for products or services
• Frequent travel required
• Provides technical training to employees of client
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 1+ years related experience working in the HVAC industry
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sheet metal fabrication and assembly using state-of-art manufacturing processes

The typical salary for this position ranges from $62,000-$85,000 in Arizona. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
