Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect end-to-end IT solutions that support the FiOS wireline lifecycle: service qualification, order capture, provisioning, activation, fault management, and service assurance.
- Lead the design of systems that interact with network inventory, GIS, planning, work order management, and auto-provisioning tools.
- Integrate IT systems with physical and logical network layers for accurate service activation, network element configuration, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with engineering, field operations, BSS, and customer care teams to align IT architecture with real-world deployment and support processes.
- Ensure seamless flow between systems like Service Order Management, Activation Platforms, Trouble Management, Field Force Automation, and Network Inventory (e.g., Granite, Netcracker, Cramer).
- Define APIs, data models, and workflow engines for service orchestration and automation in hybrid (legacy + cloud-native) environments.
- Provide architectural governance for development and integration of new platforms or enhancements to existing systems.
- Support modernization of legacy OSS into modular, service-based architectures using microservices, containers, and DevOps practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in telecom IT architecture, with a strong focus on wireline (FiOS) systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of OSS/BSS workflows for fiber services, including:
- Strong understanding of fiber plant planning, logical & physical topology, and field deployment models.
- Proficient in designing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, message queues (Kafka, JMS), and data transformation tools (ESB, ETL).
- Familiarity with TM Forum standards (SID, TAM, Open APIs) and MEF LSO frameworks.
Experience working with vendors and integrators on large-scale system delivery projects
