The Manual Tester collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure thorough testing of Eligibility and Interfaces modules. Manual Tester supports the development and execution of end-to-end testing strategies while analyzing and defining lifecycle stages, including case and claim lifecycles. Manual Tester plays a key role in identifying common issues and providing insights to enhance the overall quality of the system.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage the defect lifecycle by identifying, tracking, and ensuring the resolution of issues discovered during testing.
  • Define testing strategies, goals, and deliverables, ensuring complete coverage of system functionality across the lifecycle.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to review test results, validate system functionality, and ensure quality assurance standards are met.
  • Identify and report common issues and trends, providing insights and suggestions to improve system quality.
  • Other duties assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of Integrated Eligibility systems, with the ability to test Eligibility and Interfaces modules in detail.
  • Proficiency in defining and testing system processes, including case/claim lifecycles and converted data.
  • Expertise in manual testing processes, defect management, and creating testing deliverables such as test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
  • Ability to develop and implement test strategies and testing frameworks, ensuring comprehensive system validation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and other testers.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Bachelor s or master s degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, and Business Administration.

  • 3+ years of system testing experience, within Integrated Eligibility projects (Programs such as Snap/Food Stamps, TANF/Cash, etc.)
  • Minimum of 5 years of overall testing experience with a focus on manual testing and quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Eligibility and Interfaces modules, with end-to-end testing expertise.
  • Proven experience in analyzing system lifecycles, including case/claim lifecycles and data conversion.
  • Strong familiarity with defect tracking tools and testing documentation.
