Network Technician (Splunk / ServiceNow / Cisco)

Trigyn's direct government client has a long-term contract assignment for Network Technician in Clemson, SC.

Note:
? This is a W2 role.
? Fully Onsite role, location is Clemson, SC.
? Shift: Night shift 6:00PM - 6:00AM; 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off. Schedule will allow for every other weekend off.

Daily Responsibilities:
? Monitors network, server, and application elements, resolves incidents and service requests and/or consults with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution. Applies simple state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve the network control center.
? Control network and system processing. Responds to customer inquiries and alters via emails, incoming calls, and walk-ins.
? Conducts routine inspections on equipment and reports any abnormalities. Other operational duties as assigned, such as meetings, project work, administration and facilities requirements.
? Configure network and system resources and maintain corresponding system records and documentation. Provides Tier II support as per SME agreements. Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems. Performs pre-configured port activations on network switches.
? Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and the knowledge base. Participates in training and cross-training for the Tier II. Provides customer service for all information and/or telecommunication network systems support areas.

Required Skills:
? 5+ years IP Network Troubleshooting
? 3+ years DNS configuration
? 3+ years Understanding of monitoring tools (Splunk, SolarWinds)
? 2+ years ServiceNow ITSM Tool
? 2+ years Server Batch Scripting
? 2+ years Cisco Network Tools (ISE, Catalyst)
? 2+ years technical writing experience
