About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned RF Engineer III to support the design and optimization of wireless macro and small cell networks in the Walnut Creek, CA region. This long-term contract role involves managing RF projects end-to-end, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging advanced tools and data analytics to drive network performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead RF design for macro and small cell deployments.
- Manage RF projects including in-building solutions from initiation to completion.
- Analyze coverage and capacity needs; resolve network performance issues.
- Develop and maintain project tracking systems for milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Perform data analysis using tools like SQL, Python, Tableau, and mapping software.
- Coordinate with real estate, construction, and engineering teams.
- Provide regular project updates and KPI reports to leadership.
- Complete FUZE tasks and regulatory filings (FAA/FCC).
- Use propagation tools (ATOLL, QGIS, MapInfo, Google Earth) for RF planning.
- Prepare zoning justification packages and ensure RFE compliance.
- Identify automation opportunities and share best practices across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 7-10 years of RF engineering experience in wireless network design.
- Advanced proficiency in Atoll and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong project management and data analysis skills.
- Experience with RF tools and regulatory processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Tableau, FUZE, Roofmaster, SQL, Visio, Ericsson performance tools.
- Familiarity with Visual Basic for macro creation.
- Scripting experience in Python and SQL.
