job summary:

Our Chicago area client has a contract opportunity with potential to convert to full time role for a Sr Software Engineer. This is a hybrid role onsite 3 days a week. Ideal candidates will have past experiences in complex microservice/cloud-based project.

salary: $60 - 68 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:


  • Full stack developer responsible for technical requirement understanding, design, develop and testing software systems or applications meeting designated release plans and delivery commitments.
  • Develops software applications using Agile development methodologies.
  • Works closely with other team members performing code reviews, guiding/participating in technology decisions.


qualifications:

This role requires a solid foundation in software engineering and DevOps practices with experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservice architecture, Restful APIs, any Cloud technologies (Azure is preferred), any messaging queue (Azure Service Bus, Kafka Rabbit MQ), NoSQL and SQL databases. Experience with CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins/Azure Devops and Agile development methodologies is required.
