Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join the team out of Tyson's Corner, VA . The Software Engineering Manager will lead a team of talented software engineers and be responsible for driving the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities of the Software Engineering Manager include:
Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure their professional growth and success.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver software solutions that meet business needs.
Define and implement best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies to ensure high-quality software development.
Collaborate with senior leadership to define the software engineering strategy and roadmap, aligning it with the company's goals and objectives.
Qualifications for the Software Engineering Manager include:
7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of software engineers.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Compensation for the Software Engineering Manager include:
Salary Range: $140,000/ yr. - $160,000 yr.
