No C2C only on W2....

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Lead Technical Business Analyst to support the onboarding and lifecycle management of 5G network applications on cloud-native platforms (preferably Red Hat OpenShift). This role will serve as the critical interface between engineering, operations, vendor teams, and business stakeholders ensuring that technical and operational requirements are clearly captured, aligned, and executed.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of 5G Core applications, Day 1 cloud onboarding processes, and Day 2 operational needs, including monitoring, telemetry, and issue lifecycle management. This role will be key to translating complex technical implementations into business value while helping guide strategic decisions across the 5G application ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Day 1 Onboarding Readiness & Requirement Gathering:

  • Collaborate with solution architects, DevOps, and application vendors to collect and refine onboarding requirements for CNFs (e.g., AMF, SMF, UPF, NRF).
  • Translate high-level business goals and service requirements into detailed technical specifications and deployment use cases.
  • Drive functional and non-functional requirements related to availability, scaling, logging, and security for cloud onboarding (primarily on Red Hat OpenShift).
  • Document Day 1 acceptance criteria, configuration dependencies, and platform alignment requirements.

Day 2 Monitoring, Operations, and Optimization:

  • Work with observability and support teams to define Day 2 operational requirements (e.g., logs, metrics, traces) for effective monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Identify gaps in current tooling or processes that impact visibility, health checks, and alerting across the 5G CNF estate.
  • Conduct issue trend analysis and collaborate with technical teams to document root causes, resolution paths, and knowledge artifacts.
  • Translate monitoring KPIs and SLIs/SLOs into business-facing insights to ensure proactive issue mitigation and performance tuning.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Act as the primary liaison between technical SMEs and business teams to ensure alignment on delivery timelines, risks, and success metrics.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming, prioritization sessions, and sprint planning where onboarding and monitoring features are in scope.
  • Contribute to operational playbooks, user stories, business cases, and impact assessments.

Leadership & Governance:

  • Mentor junior business analysts and guide best practices for documenting technical requirements in agile, hybrid, or waterfall settings.
  • Lead impact assessments for onboarding changes or incidents affecting the 5G application stack.
  • Present analysis and recommendations to executive stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar role in Telco, Cloud, or Network Services domains.
  • Strong working knowledge of 5G Core network functions (AMF, SMF, UPF, NRF, PCF) and containerized network functions (CNFs).
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms and orchestration (Red Hat OpenShift preferred).
  • Experience defining Day 1 and Day 2 requirements, especially for monitoring, logging, and application lifecycle management.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills (Confluence, Jira, BPMN, user story creation, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ITIL or experience in incident, problem, or change management processes.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Fluentd, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Certification in business analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or SAFe/Agile practices.
