Job Details

Description

This position is responsible to design, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. Furthermore, the Applications Developer will also analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required. Further duties & responsibilities are listed below:

  • Designs, develops, and modifies modules based on functional and system requirements.
  • Work closely with the Application Development Manager, Business Analysts, and other team members to understand the functional and system requirements.
  • Participate in testing process through unit testing and bug fixes.
  • Learn appropriate software modules used and supported by the organization.
  • Provide support for the testing of new and existing software applications and modules under development or consideration for purchase.
  • Occasional travel for training is required.


Requirements

Education:
  • Graduate of a 4-year degree program in the field of computer science or software engineering

Required:
  • 2-5 years of software development experience.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of the C# Language.
  • Hands on experience working in integrated development environments (VS / VSCode)
  • Knowledge of the modern .Net platform, utilizing .Net 8, Web API, YARP, etc. and following newer patterns such as CQRS and the use of Message Buses.
  • Flexible and adaptable in regard to learning and understanding new technologies.
  • Highly self-motivated, effective team player and results oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills (focus on customer service orientation).

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with the Insurance industry, and its standard business processes.
  • Good understanding of Web Design / Development (HTML, JavaScript, and CSS).
  • Good understanding of the Angular Framework
  • Any Microsoft Certifications (MCSE, MCP, etc.)
  • Good understanding of relational databases design and querying concepts.
