Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycles, from planning and design to construction and completion.
2. Assist with developing and managing detailed project schedules, ensuring all timelines and milestones are met.
3. Implementing effective cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
4. Preparing and issuing RFIs, submittals, and change orders as necessary.
5. Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications to ensure all team members have a clear understanding of project requirements.
6. Facilitating subcontractor and supplier coordination, and procurement working in conjunction with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager leading the project team.
7. Ensuring all construction activities comply with industry safety and quality standards.
8. Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure work is carried out as per the design and specifications.
9. Preparing and presenting regular project status reports to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Project Engineer position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in a Project Engineer or similar role.
2. Proven experience in managing commercial construction projects, including municipal, civic, and educational projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
4. Expertise in scheduling, cost control, RFI, submittals, and change orders.
5. Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
6. Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
8. A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
9. Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
