Piping Designer
3 Month Contract
Midvale, Utah (Onsite Monday - Friday flexible hours/schedule)
Hourly Rate: $40 - $50 per hour while on contract

Job Description:
Work alongside other designers and engineers to help build new technology for mineral mining/processing at both Pilot Plants & Commercial Scale Plants. This will be cutting edge with materials to support the growing power/energy industries. Work with local and remote location engineers to develop process drawings for chemical ion exchange systems and processing technologies for production sites. Apply standard and theoretical practical knowledge to develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping/Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) to accept standards. Projects could span from concept design, study phase, basic and engineering phases through to the implementation.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years Piping Design experience
  • Expertise with AutoCAD (must include 3D)
  • Plant 3D, or CadWorx3D experience
  • Knowledge or experience with designing within the chemical process industries

Bonus / Soft Skills:
  • PFD and P&ID experience
  • Mineral or chemical processing industries
  • Takes initiative
  • Self driven
  • Owns the workload they take on and sees it through
  • Willing to share ideas and listen to others' ideas in a small team environment
  • Must be willing to travel very occasionally to client sites as needed. Should be rare, but could happen.
  • Associate's Degree in an Engineering field, or technical school plus related experience
