Job Details
Role: Data Engineer, Business Intelligence
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)
Duration: Fulltime Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain fault-tolerant and efficient data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Plx and GoogleSQL.
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries on massive datasets in BigQuery to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Develop, deploy, and own interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports using Data Studio (Looker Studio) to provide insights to business stakeholders.
- Apply a deep understanding of database concepts, including data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing principles, to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and business leaders to gather requirements and translate business questions into technical solutions.
- Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot issues across the entire data stack, from Plx job failures to slow-loading dashboards.
- Mature understanding of end to end flow of data warehousing vs data integration vs data modeling vs data profiling vs data reporting.
- Champion data quality, integrity, and reliability across all of our data products.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience with data processing or data warehousing.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
- Good to have Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go).
