Job Details

Role Title: Technical Program Manager
Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate: $70 - $75/hour on w2
Work Location: Hybrid: Sunnyvale, CA: Tues-Thurs in the office. Monday & Friday remote)
Work Schedule: Normal PST business hours, Monday - Friday

Project Overview:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of software development projects. Plan and organize work to balance immediate needs with longer term goals of the project, navigating blockers which appear in pursuit of the program goals.

Project Management:
  • Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of ongoing program activities and projects.
  • Track progress against timelines and identify potential roadblocks.
  • Facilitate meetings, document action items, and follow up on deliverables.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure information is readily accessible.

Technical:
  • Independently triage technical issues across multiple projects.
  • Assess the impact of technical escalations.
  • Where relevant, resolve issues and requests related to tooling and process that support engineering execution.

Communications:
  • Draft and disseminate communications related to program updates, events, and initiatives.
  • Manage email correspondence and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
  • Review and update existing program materials, including presentations and internal site content.
  • Potentially assist in the creation of new collateral as needed.

Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as a point of contact for program-related inquiries.
  • Assist in coordinating meetings.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
  • Work across multiple software development projects:
  • Track team's work in internal project management & issue tracking system by triaging incoming bugs / feature requests, ensure issues have sufficient information for team to use in resolving; provide resolutions and work arounds to issues that don't need code fixes.
  • Draft and send proactive project-related communications on a regular cadence
  • Organize & facilitate meetings with development team & stakeholders (e.g. SCRUM ceremonies)

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (computer science, computer engineering, software engineering) or 3+ years related experience.
  • Strong project management (4+ years), organizational and written / verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with software development, especially troubleshooting and maintenance (4+ years).

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:
  • SCRUM master experience / certification
  • Experience writing SQL queries
  • Experience with Google Workspace (spreadsheets)
