Neos is Seeking an AI & Data Architect for a contract role for with our client in Austin, TX.

Position is Hybrid onsite 3 days a week onsite (days subject to hiring manager) at 1900 Aldrich St, Austin, TX 78723

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

We are seeking an experienced AI & Data Architect to design and implement enterprise-scale AI and data solutions using Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and other AI services. This hybrid role focuses on data architecture, GenAI integration, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Implementation
Architect and deliver scalable, secure data solutions on Azure (Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake AI Foundry, MLflow, Event Hub, SQL, Blob Storage, ADLS Gen2, Log Analytics, Purview, Functions, Key Vault).
Design GenAI architecture (RAG, LLMs, domain tuning) and build secure, scalable data frameworks with cross-system integration.
Support metadata structuring for AI use cases and document key processes.
Develop metadata structures, including ontologies and taxonomies, to support GenAI solution design.
Ensure data solutions are robust, extensible, and seamlessly integrated with existing systems.

Collaboration
Contribute to data architecture strategy, planning, and platform selection to align with business goals and compliance requirements.
Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Support AI/ML development activities and knowledge transfer.
Stay current with market trends, introduce new AI and data features, and assist in training team members on AI capabilities.

Operational Excellence
Conduct architecture reviews and enforce standards.
Ensure adherence to best practices in data governance and security.
Promote continuous improvement and innovation in data architecture and AI integration.
Provide operational support and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
10 years of IT experience, with 5 years in architect roles for Data & Analytics solutions.
3 years of hands-on experience with Azure public cloud.
2 years of hands-on experience with AI services.
Proven experience as a Data Architect in enterprise-level, data-centric projects.

Skills Required

Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Azure data services, Databricks, Snowflake, MLFlow, Power Automate, Cognitive Services, Azure ML, and Purview.
Experience with GenAI platforms, including Azure OpenAI and Databricks Intelligence Platform.
Familiarity with LangChain and LangGraph for AI-powered data solutions.
Expertise in metadata management, data governance, and data modeling.

AI/ML & Advanced Analytics
Design and implement GenAI architectures (RAG, LLMs, domain tuning).
Develop and manage metadata structures, ontologies, and taxonomies for GenAI solutions.
Support AI use cases and document key processes.
Stay up to date with AI/ML advancements and integrate new features into data solutions.

Soft Skills
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
