Job Overview
The Sr Technical Consultant, HR IT role will be the delivery partner with HR Operations and HR IT staff. This partnership will enable the HR function to achieve its goals of completing a recent migration from Kronos to Workday. This will require knowledge and experience with typical business process operations to identify workable solutions and opportunities for improvement specifically related to Workday Timekeeping, Absence, and Scheduling configuration and functionality.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR Product Owner and IT Technical team to identify, assess, and solve complex business and technical problems related to core Workday Timekeeping, Absence and Scheduling configuration and functionality.
- Integrate input from multiple channels, including customer research, industry research/best practices and stakeholder requirements, into product priorities and requirements.
- Ensure overall design is in line with client's global model, existing business rules, and is properly integrated with other applications/process.
- Design, build, launch, and assess solutions employing Lean principles.
- Collaborate with in-house application teams and third-party service providers to build knowledge and resolve incidents.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
- Communicate status, solutions, and concerns.
- Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team.
- The primary line of work is workday, time keeping, scheduling and absence.
- Workday time keeping, scheduling Experience (preferences on static scheduling).
- Workday absence
- Experience with US payroll and understanding how the data flows between the systems.
- Person to have work the reporting experience.
- Should be able to look into these open tickets, identify root cause and propose solutions.
- Experience in change management.
- Fixing the open ticketing Issue.
- Workday security knowledge

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
- 8+ years of IT experience, with a focus on multiple areas
- 5 years of experience in Global Workday HR implementation projects
- 3 years of experience in Workday US Payroll
- Experience with at least one end-to-end Workday Timekeeping, Absence, and Scheduling deployment, with preference for Static Scheduling knowledge
- Proficiency in Workday reporting
- Workday Configurations certification preferred.
Top 3-5 Must-Have Non-Negotiable Skills Required:
Configuration and functional knowledge of the following Workday modules:
1. Scheduling-2+ Years minimum
2. Timekeeping-2+ Years minimum
3. Absence-2+ Years minimum
A Bachelor's degree is required(Associate's with a good amount of experience will be considered)
How many years of recent experience does this person need to have
- 8+ years of IT experience, with a focus on multiple areas
- 5 years of experience in Global Workday HR implementation projects
- 3 years of experience in Workday US Payroll
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with at least one end-to-end Workday Timekeeping, Absence, and Scheduling deployment, with preference for Static Scheduling knowledge
