Job Title: Frontend Developer - eCommerce platforms
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)
Duration/Term: Long-Term Contract


Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Frontend Developer with proven experience in building scalable, responsive eCommerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and experience integrating frontend components with eCommerce APIs, shopping cart functionality, and payment gateways. This role demands a user-centric mindset, attention to performance, and an eye for sleek, intuitive design.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive eCommerce web interfaces using ReactJS and modern frontend technologies.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend engineers to implement product pages, cart flows, and secure checkout experiences.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and SEO.
  • Integrate with third-party services such as payment processors, inventory systems, and analytics tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues, with a focus on shopping experience reliability.
  • Stay informed of eCommerce trends and apply best practices in frontend development.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years of frontend development experience, ideally within an eCommerce setting.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and ReactJS.
  • Experience with headless commerce platforms, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, or custom eCommerce builds is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and CMS integration.
  • Familiarity with payment gateway integration, promo logic, and dynamic product rendering.
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and version control (Git) skills.
