Software Engineer-Test & Verification (Test & Verification)

The Boeing Company is looking for an Entry Level Software Engineer-Test & Verification (Test & Verification) to join the Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers Engineering group located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

This position will support modifications and upgrades to the B-52. Our Bombers software engineers design, develop, and demonstrate avionics solutions for the platforms we build and upgrade. Your efforts will assist integration of cutting-edge technologies to maintain our platform's dominance over the battlefield for many decades to come.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Assists with the design, development, and completion of test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality
  • Contributes to partnering with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability
  • Participates in the design of test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications
  • Assists with the set up and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments
  • Assists with executing test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes
  • Contributes to providing test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities
  • Gathers information, documents, and maintains test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards
  • Supports maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes
  • Assists with software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • Classroom or work-related programming experience with any of the following software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C#

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other technical degree
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders of different backgrounds and skill levels
  • Experience writing and/or executing automated tests
  • Experience with Agile software development
