Northrop Grumman Corporate Cybersecurity is expanding its Cyber Assessment Tiger Team (CATT) to extend penetration testing and red teaming services to internal programs.

CATT is looking for a hungry, creative and skilled manager to drive our pen testing operations on a large multi-year program. This is a high-visibility operation that is responsible for driving continuous, mission-realistic cybersecurity maturation of dozens of labs, manufacturing facilities, administrative and R&D environments. The award is expected in Q1 2024 and will extend through 2029, with a customer option to renew. Testing will include alternating Cooperative Vulnerability and Penetration Assessments (Crystal Box pen testing) and Adversarial Assessments (Red Teaming). This role is located at our Roy, Utah location.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the technical and organizational needs of some of the best vulnerability researchers, penetration testers and red teamers in the world.

Organizational duties include Building and maintaining customer relationships, requirements shaping, helping to recruit and meet the administrative needs of potentially two dozen testers, working with the CATT Operations Manager and Senior Manager to ensure the team is properly resourced and supported, summary report writing and briefing, providing senior management with input into strategic decision making.

Technical duties include Ensuring high-quality execution through reviewing individual test plans and findings, high-level development of assessment plans, identifying continuous training needs for skills enhancements of all technical personnel, shaping internal team R&D objectives and execution, identifying & communicating capabilities gaps and remediation strategies.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have 5+ years' experience leading offensive cybersecurity operations.
  • Must have an Active Top Secret or Q Security Clearance
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience briefing senior executives and communicating difficult technical material to non-technical audiences.
  • Deep understanding of offensive cybersecurity concepts, tactics, techniques and procedures
  • CISSP/CISM/GSLC or other leadership-focused DoD 8140 Advanced certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current TS/SCI Security Clearance or in-scope BI
  • Experience managing budgets and coordinating logistical support for team members.
  • Systems and network exploitation experience
  • Reverse engineering and exploit development experience
  • Background in platform engineering and/or platform engineering management
  • OSCP/OSCE/OSEE, GPEN/GXPN, or other documented penetration testing credentials.

Salary Range: $131,200 - $196,800

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
