Title: ACI MTS & UPF Lead Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite )
12+ Month Contract
We are looking for a Lead Consultant having 12 plus years of deep expertise in ACI Money Transfer System (MTS) and Universal Payment Framework (UPF) to lead the deployment, integration, and optimization of mission-critical payment systems. This role demands a strategic thinker and hands-on technologist who can drive complex implementations, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high availability and performance of payment processing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the configuration and deployment of ACI MTS components including processes, queues, lines, remote records, and databases.
Carryout installation and configuration of UPF, including cartridge loading and endpoint setup.
Carryout system integration, shake-out testing, and environment turnover to QA, ensuring readiness for production.
Plan and execute migration of entitlements, locations, queues, and payment sources to Control Center (CC).
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across MTS and UPF platforms.
Design, develop, and maintain robust shell scripts for Start-of-Day (SOD) and End-of-Day (EOD) operations.
Collaborate with architecture, development, and operations teams to ensure seamless and secure payment processing.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
Extensive hands-on experience with ACI MTS and UPF in enterprise environments.
Advanced proficiency in Linux/UNIX/AIX, shell scripting, and VI editor.
Strong background in Oracle, DB2, ENTIA, and IBM MQ.
In-depth knowledge of Control Center (CC) web UI and configuration workflows.
Good coding skills for Cobol
Good at Perl scripting
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system and integration issues.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
