Devops Engineer

The Advisor Application Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and reliability of enterprise data and analytics platforms. This role combines application engineering, cloud operations, and automation to support end-to-end data delivery pipelines and business applications that power analytics and reporting across the organization.
Your Role in Our Mission
You will act as the technical advisor and hands-on engineer for all aspects of system integration, environment management, and operational reliability. The role emphasizes proactive monitoring, automation, and cross-team collaboration to maintain stable and efficient application environments.
Essential Job Functions
Cloud & Environment Management: Manage configuration, deployment, and monitoring of analytics environments across development, test, and production; ensure performance, uptime, and security compliance.
Application Engineering: Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot ETL processes, APIs, and integrations supporting enterprise data pipelines and analytic systems.
Operational Reliability: Implement automation and observability tools for environment health checks, incident detection, and rapid recovery.
Incident Management: Lead triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution of production incidents; document and communicate preventive actions.
DevOps & Automation: Collaborate with engineering teams to build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and streamline release processes.
Customer & Stakeholder Support: Act as the liaison between engineering and business teams to ensure smooth delivery, platform reliability, and effective communication during system changes.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain environment configuration guides, runbooks, and training resources for support teams.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
9+ years of experience in application engineering, DevOps, or cloud platform management.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform cloud environments; container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes); and automation tools (Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
Proficiency in SQL, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and API integration.
Strong understanding of network, security, and system performance principles.
Other Qualifications
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with a proactive approach to issue prevention.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities across technical and business teams.
Experience in maintaining complex, multi-tier applications in regulated or high-availability environments preferred.
Ability to work across geographies and time zones as part of a distributed engineering team.
