Job Details

Client is seeking a highly experienced, solutions-driven Senior SAP MM (Materials Management) Consultant on a contract basis. We require a resource with a strong background in manufacturing environments to support our operations in the Bay Area. This critical role involves managing and optimizing our materials management processes, driving system enhancements, and ensuring seamless integration across related SAP modules.

The candidates should meet the following strict criteria:

Required Qualifications & Experience:

SAP MM Expertise: Over 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM, including a proven track record of successfully leading or significantly contributing to multiple full life cycle implementation projects.

Industry Expertise: Candidate must have extensive, demonstrable experience working within a manufacturing environment. Experience in configuring MM processes specific to manufacturing operations (e.g., procurement for production orders, inventory management within a plant setting) is essential.

Integration Knowledge: Demonstrable functional knowledge of key integration points with both the FI-CO (Finance and Controlling) and SD (Sales and Distribution) modules. The consultant must understand the touchpoints between MM transactions and financial postings/sales processes.

Leadership (Ideal): Prior team lead experience is highly desirable, demonstrating an ability to coordinate project activities and potentially mentor junior resources.

On-site Requirement: The consultant must be available to work on-site in the Bay Area office 5 days per week. No remote work is available for this position.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required for working closely with internal stakeholders and technical teams.

Scope of Work:

Analyze complex business requirements specific to manufacturing operations and translate them into effective SAP solutions (system design, configuration, testing, documentation).

Manage day-to-day support of the SAP MM module within the production landscape.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between MM, SD, and FI-CO modules.

Provide expert guidance and support to end-users across manufacturing operations.
