Role: Project manager - Master Scheduler
Location: Primarily remote. The selected candidate will be required to be on-site at least twice a month in Reston or DC during the initial phase, with on-site requirements likely decreasing after a few months or once the initial project stage concludes. Candidates must reside within DC, MD, VA, or WV.

Summary
Client is seeking a Master Scheduler responsible for developing and managing implementation schedules for large, complex, cross-functional programs using Microsoft Project.
The role involves:
- Facilitating discussions with business and technical stakeholders to build initial project schedules.
- Setting and standardizing schedule management practices for the ePMO.
- Creating templates and standardized reports to ensure consistent schedule governance.
- Focusing on initial schedule creation and handoff to Project Managers for ongoing maintenance.
- Supporting the maturation and standardization of scheduling practices across the organization.
- Presenting schedule status updates, visuals, and reports to senior stakeholders.
Projects will primarily follow a hybrid Agile-Waterfall delivery model.
Initially, the selected resource will lead scheduling efforts for 2 3 large, complex healthcare insurance product implementation projects. After or between these efforts, they will also develop standardized scheduling templates for future initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in project scheduling using Microsoft Project
- Experience working in hybrid Agile and Waterfall environments
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional/matrixed teams
