Job Description Summary
In support of the Gas Power System and Power Services Business, the Controls Gas Turbine Design Technology team is continuing to invent and implement advanced control strategies and algorithms to improve the performance, operability, and reliability of gas turbines with the goal of increasing the competitiveness of the GE Catalog of Combined Cycle Power Plants. The large volume of orders created by these new technology advances requires talented individuals with the right mix of technical and problem-solving skills. Working with experienced engineers, you will lead projects and interface with internal and external teams to develop functional control strategies and then design the control system to accomplish the key requirements.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, The base pay range for this position is $79,400.00 - 119,000.00 USD per year.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% performance bonus.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and apply advanced control technologies to gas turbine applications
- Collaborate with design engineers of various disciplines to surface control system requirements and drive equipment requirements for controllability
- Implement control algorithms in GE Control Systems, including: Mark*VI, Mark*VIe, and Mark*Ve
- Write, test, and develop requirements for turbine application code
- Maintain software standards by implementing software change requests and by creating and executing validation scripts.
- This role will accommodate progress toward completion of Engineering Masters degree and/or B-Course project; Limited travel/overtime required; One hour a week per credit hour (maximum 6 hrs per week) can be vouchered
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in relevant Engineering discipline
- Candidates should have 1-3 years of relevant experience
- This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents and protected individuals (e.g., certain refugees and asylees)). GE will require proof of status prior to employment
Desired Characteristics
- Edison Engineer; Completion of LPX, Teardown Training; Progress toward completion of Engineering Masters degree and/or ACE Certificate
