ECS is seeking an UAS Training Coordinator to work in our Lakeland, FL office.
The incumbent will directly interface with the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems Division (UASD) staff for coordination relating to NOAA UAS training and operations. Primary duties include:

ECS is seeking an UAS Training Coordinator to work in our Lakeland, FL office.
The incumbent will directly interface with the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems Division (UASD) staff for coordination relating to NOAA UAS training and operations. Primary duties include:
- Lead coordinator for curriculum development, standardization, instruction, and compliance with NOAA policy and FAA UAS regulations.
- Manages and performs training to the approved curriculum.
- Reviews qualifications of UAS operators to ensure compliance with policy.
- Responsible for tracking metrics associated with training.
- Provides input as it pertains to training.
- Creates Standard Operating Procedures and coordinates Operational Risk Management for operations involving UAS.
- Operates in the field as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for select UAS special use projects, training, and airworthiness evaluations as mission needs required. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in UAS Operations with a strong background in training development and presentation and high attention to detail. Travel of up to 25% is planned for this position.
Required Skills
- Proficient operator of UAS platforms.
- FAA Part 107 certification.
- Expertise with current and emerging UAS technologies to be able to recommend both platform selection and operational processes.
- Ability to train to approved UAS training curriculum.
Desired Skills
- Previous experience as Pilot in Command of UAS in special use projects.
- Previous leadership experience of UAS in special use/Gov projects.
