Windows 11 Deployment Technician

Windows 11 Deployment Technicians needed for a 3+ Month Contract ONSITE in Foxboro, MA (2 positions available)!

Our client is looking for Windows 11 Deployment Technicians with Microsoft Intune experience to perform the following tasks.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Windows 11 OS (installation, setup, and troubleshooting).
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Experience with BIOS/UEFI configuration.
• Familiarity with imaging tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT, or Autopilot).
• Experience with Intune device enrollment and configuration.
• Knowledge of hardware components and peripheral setup.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills (IP config, connectivity testing).
• Experience in documenting installation steps and issues.
• Ability to escalate issues appropriately.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, structured environment.
• Clear verbal communication and team collaboration skills.

Imaging and Setup

• You will be given a laptop that needs to be imaged with Windows 11. Using a USB or network deployment tool, install the OS, set the correct BIOS boot order, and ensure drivers are correctly installed.
• Document each step and time to completion.

Troubleshooting Network Connectivity

• If the freshly imaged device fails to connect to the corporate network. Investigate the cause and document your troubleshooting steps and final resolution.

BIOS Configuration

• You must verify Secure Boot and TPM are enabled on a device. Access the BIOS/UEFI, confirm the settings, and explain why these settings are important for Windows 11.

Following Written Instructions

• You will be handed a standard operating procedure (SOP) with 12 steps to configure a Windows 11 workstation for deployment. Follow it exactly, then note any deviations, issues, or recommendations for improvement.

Setup and Verification

• Connect and test the following peripherals: USB keyboard/mouse, docking station, dual monitors. Ensure functionality and document all results and any errors encountered.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune for device enrollment and configuration.
• Understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) and its role in enterprise security.
• Ability to enroll devices into Intune and verify compliance policies.
• Basic knowledge of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup and verification.
• Experience with modern connectivity scenarios (e.g., Always On VPN, Autopilot provisioning, Wi-Fi/802.1X authentication).

Intune Enrollment and Policy Compliance

• Using a test device, enroll the workstation into Microsoft Intune. After enrollment, confirm that the appropriate configuration profiles and compliance policies are applied. Verify that the device appears in the Intune console as compliant and provide a screenshot or summary of the compliance results.
