Job Description: Servicenow Engineer
Location: Alpharetta, GA, GA (5 Days Onsite)
Type: Long Term Contract

Job Summary:
Join a global IT team as a ServiceNow Platform Engineer, helping lead the implementation and advancement of a cutting-edge ITSM technology platform. This role involves working across IT and business units to define standards, optimize processes, and integrate supporting technologies. You ll collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive ServiceNow-based solutions that simplify workflows and elevate the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow platform solutions across ITSM, ITOM, and other key modules.
  • Work closely with onshore and offshore teams of ServiceNow analysts, architects, and developers to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on ServiceNow capabilities, best practices, and lifecycle management.
  • Translate business needs into functional ServiceNow configurations or new module development.
  • Maintain and enhance platform performance, stability, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive backlog prioritization and contribute to the ServiceNow roadmap and strategy.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards and compliance with security and governance policies.
  • Provide support in the integration of ServiceNow with other enterprise systems.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in IT application development, including 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:
    • ITSM Modules (Incident, Change, Problem, Request, Knowledge, Asset Management)
    • ITOM Modules (Discovery, Service Mapping)
    • CMDB and ServiceNow Data Models
    • Performance Analytics, Service Catalog, ATF (Automated Test Framework), and Platform Security
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, XML, and CSS.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices.
  • Understanding of application development lifecycle and platform upgrade processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ITIL certification or strong working knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • Experience working in global environments and with distributed teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior developers.
  • Experience in platform strategy planning and delivering metrics-based outcomes (KPIs).

Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
