Job Description:
- The Senior Databricks Engineer will support platform administration, development, optimization, and operational troubleshooting on Google Cloud Platform.
- The role requires strong Databricks expertise, hands-on engineering capabilities, and the ability to ensure a stable, scalable, and well-governed data environment.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Databricks.
- Strong proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform Dataproc.
- 8+ years in data engineering or related fields.
- Lead installation and configuration of Databricks on Google Cloud Platform.
- Monitor platform health, performance, and cost optimization.
- Implement governance, logging, and auditing mechanisms.
- Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to enhance workflows and models.
- Optimize notebooks and jobs for performance and reliability.
- Provide L2/L3 support for Databricks issues.
- Troubleshoot cluster failures, job errors, and performance bottlenecks.
- Maintain documentation for platform setup, operations, and development standards.
- Ability to work across administration, development, and operations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
